Sometimes the best new car is a classic. We helped AkzoNobel launch a new line of auto paint with with TV celebrity Dave Kindig from Bitchin’ Rides. The results will stop you in your tracks.

Auto paint isn’t something most of us think about, but for a highly specialize audience, this product can make or break a renovation. AkzoNobel’s partnership with Dave allowed them to capture his unique vision and expertise into a high quality line of paints to bring their restoration to life.

 
 

The paint branding, Modern Classikk, was the first step to capture the ideas Dave had around bringing contemporary feelings into a classic car restoration. We launched the product at SEMA, the largest automotive product showcase in the world. Coordinating the show with the launch of the website and video, AkzoNobel and Kindig took center stage at the trade show.

The team coordinated follow-up appearances at national car shows like the Woodward Dream Cruise, where Dave brought vehicles and help talks with enthusiasts to give some insight into the colors. All these events were activated on the social channels to allow the Bitcoin’ Rides audience access to the content even if they could not attend the shows.

RESULTS

The launch of this product line was extremely successful in the industry. From the SEMA event to the social activation at car shows, many of the clients of AkzoNobel and fans of Dave Kindig have engaged with the brand.
